The reason why I try to write my Tistory posts in English.

 

I started running a profitable blog as a side job. 

I live in Korea, and Korea is curretly experiencing rapid aging issues as a social problem. I have a stable job that provides a fixed income, but if I think about living until my age is 100, it is not enough income to guarantee that I will be able to lead a stable daily life after retirement. 

 Therefore, I have always been concerned about the need for additional sources of extra income. For example, Stock dividends, advertising income through blog operation, and real estate and commercial rental income as a long term perspective. I already have some plans for stock dividends and real estate investment, I will write about a profitable blog posts today.

Receiving Google AdSense approval,

I can now place advertisements on my blog posts.

I have been writing a blog posts for the past a month and I tried to write one post a day. As a result, I was able to get AdSense advertisement approval in just 3weeks. It makes me suprized, because I could make 2 dollors a week with just 10 posts on my blog.

 The articles I worte are relatived to policy / tax / investments, and if someone search my posts and reads the article, then they will be exposed to advertisements later, I can generate continuous revenue from the article I wront once. This sudden profits from the first week- 2dollors a week with 10 posts, running a profitable blog became more interesting. 

 

Thinking about what to do to increase profits. 

I started thinking about how I could make more money using Google AdSence. Google AdSense distributes a certain portion of the revenue received from advertisers to blog operators. The number of advertisement exposures (page views) and how many time people click advertisements and it drives the people to purchasing the item will be the basis for profit calculation. 

 

First, Expose google ads to more people.

- Increase the number of visitors to makes more traffic.

 

While AdSense does not require a minimum number of page views per month, but all knows the count of visitors monthly is one of the standard for evaluation. About 30 visitors cmoe to my blog every day on average, and most of them come through searches tax / policy / etc. However considering that 2 dollors was generated per week, it seems 1,000 visitors per month can be enough to make a profit,  although it is a very small level. 

 

Some great idea catch my thought. Why did I write my posts in Korean? Wouldn't the posts written in English be possible to attract more people from around the world? The population of Korea is only 51.74million, but world population is 7.88 billion. So, wouldn't it be better to expand my thinking and write a posts as english to attract more people global around? 

 

Since Google AdSense offer the daily report about the profits for each post, I plan to write blog posts in English for profit comparison purposes. 

Second, Make more peple to click the ads. 

When I decided to operate a profitable blog, my purpose of writing was to study investment, finance, and taxes and to share what I learned. This tax / finance / investments subjects is not attractive enough to bring many people. But it is meaningful in providing accurate information to people who search data based on specific keywords. 

 

 To make more people clicking the ads which Gogole AdSense offers, it's better to write the posts relative with some products which is able to bring the commercial advertisements. For example, If I write the review about Electronic producs, Exercise Equipment, Foods,  then commercial advertisement relative with that subjects can be exposed more. And the visitors will be more likely to click on the ads because it contains information related to their search topic. 

 

 But until now, I will keep try to maintain my original intention, to write posts about finance / investment / tax topic.
